Things I might have forgotten, from a world I am about to see

Things I might have forgotten, from a world I am about to see / 2020 - 2021

In this series, I present personal narratives from the places I experience every day. Athens, its balconies and streets, my studio, the common space of my building or the hospital, take the form of fragmentary notes of the everyday and the familiar. Central to this focus are autobiographical and sociological sources, from which I draw while at the same time composing these narratives on bleached denim. I understand absence and place as two interconnected concepts. The absence normally coming from a past or even indicating a potentially future presence, is perceived as empty apparel. Jeans that lack bodies, but host these fragmentary notes of places and objects.
